Haw, Eno, and Flat River Drainages

The Haw, Eno, and Flat rivers comprise the major headwaters of the Cape Fear and Neuse rivers. Topographically, all three of these rivers are comparatively small streams with limited floodplain development. These drainages are closely related archaeologically and during the seventeenth century were occupied by the Sissipahaw, Eno, Shakori, and Occaneechi Indians.
